Ms. Anderson has a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and computer science from Shippensburg State College and a master of science in computer science: interactive computer graphics from New Mexico State University. She has been with ARC since 1991. She is responsible for computer programming, geographic information systems (GIS) and database management, and is an expert in MapInfo® and MapBasic®.
Ms. Anderson provides mapping and database support for ARC's facility master planning projects for public schools throughout the state and nationally, the National Park Service, Sandia National Laboratories, and many other clients. She has developed GIS systems for several public school systems for school bus transportation planning, geographically encoding student locations by address and school assignment areas. She uses GIS as a tool to assist school districts in analyzing population trends, residential building patterns, redistricting school assignment areas, and site selection for new schools.
