One thing Celina Crimella carried with her as she left her native Italy and emigrated to the United States was a brand new laurea in architettura, a degree in architecture, from Italy’s Politecnico di Milano. Thirty years later, her resume tells of wide-ranging adventures in architecture, most of them centered in and around Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Working with a half dozen area firms over the decades, Ms. Crimella built a projects list that sparkles with some of New Mexico’s highest-profile names—La Fonda de Santa Fe and Eldorado Hotel, in the capitol city’s historic Plaza; Palacio de la Marquesa, in Taos; Albuquerque’s Hotel Andaluz and Highland Theater; Ghost Ranch, near Abiquiu; New Mexico School for the Deaf; the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center; Bernalillo’s Winery Museum, Isleta Resort & Casino; Sandia Church, in the Pueblo of Sandia, and the National Hispanic Cultural Center, to name just a few. Her experience spans commercial, residential, cultural, hospitality, and institutional projects and includes plenty of project management, project design, construction administration, construction document work, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination, among many other duties.

A new addition to the ARC team, Ms. Crimella has gotten busy working with some of her colleagues on the firm’s capital master plan update for Albuquerque Public Schools.
