Facilities Evaluator
Departments: Educational Facility Planning

Maggie Hirsch enriches the ARC team with her 25+ years of combined experience in architecture and interiors. Indeed, the company is tapping her interior-design expertise as it prepares to move into new offices. Ms. Hirsch has worked with large firms in both Albuquerque and Boston, as well as at retail interior design showrooms in Chicago. Her list of completed projects includes commercial applications, hospitality, healthcare, government lab work, museums, cultural art centers, retail, residential, and educational facilities.

Besides the interior design for ARC’s future home, Ms. Hirsch is currently working on an update to the Albuquerque Public Schools Capital Master Plan. At other firms, her clients included Babson College, in Wellesley, MA; University of Phoenix, Albuquerque Campus; Albuquerque’s Manzano Day School; New Mexico State University’s Pan-American Center, in Las Cruces; New Mexico School for the Deaf, in Santa Fe; and New Mexico Highlands University, in Las Vegas, among others.

An enthusiastic student of history—architectural history (and theory), interior design/furniture history, art history—Ms. Hirsch has extensive knowledge of space planning, facility programming, conceptual design studies, project continuity, and matters of color, material, and furniture/finishes. She’s an experienced project manager and knows how to handle construction documents and contracts.

Ms. Hirsch has evaluated more than 2.5 million square feet of schools and education support buildings, and 65,200 square feet of government facilities. She has completed the NCARB Intern Development Program, a step toward her architectural licensure.
