Mark Vigil serves as a facilities evaluator for ARC’s educational and governmental clients and works with other team members to prepare facilities master plans, condition assessments, educational specifications, and facility programs.

He is currently participating in a facilities condition assessment as part of updating Albuquerque Public Schools’ Capital Master Plan. He recently did facility assessments and drafted floor plans for an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan for New Mexico Department of Transportation.

Before joining the ARC staff, Mr. Vigil worked as a simulation analyst, modeling nuclear power plant facilities and conducting simulated defense postures to stress test a plant’s defensive capabilities. His clients included the U.S. Department of Energy and Southern Nuclear, a private company.

As an architectural designer at a couple other Albuquerque firms, Mr. Vigil guided projects from planning through construction, keeping them on time and within budget. He also coordinated design changes with structural, civil, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.

An expert in computer-aided design (CAD), Mr. Vigil served a consulting group with offices in Dallas, Amarillo, TX, Las Cruces, NM, and Albuquerque, conducting site visits and creating design documents for construction and bid purposes. Among his clients were Liberty Mutual, FM Global, Coca-Cola, Schwann’s, Vought Industrial, Navarro College, City of Dallas, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and many independent school districts within the Texas panhandle.

During his tenure with ARC, Mr. Vigil has evaluated more than three million square feet of facilities.
